About Me

Hi, I’m Karina — a mom, originally from Orange County, California, now living in New York City — and the heart behind Less Is Luxe.

I created Less Is Luxe from the belief that having less can actually feel more luxurious. In a world that constantly tells us to buy more.

My approach to organizing goes beyond making things look neat. I focus on creating systems that make sense for your lifestyle — ones that are easy to maintain, practical for real life, and designed to reduce daily stress. Whether it’s a closet, a drawer, a kitchen, or entire home, the goal is always the same: clarity, simplicity, and purpose.

I understand that every home — and every person — is different. That’s why my process is judgment-free, collaborative, and tailored specifically to you. We don’t throw everything away. We thoughtfully curate what stays, honor what matters, and organize what you already own in a way that truly works.

Less Is Luxe isn’t about perfection. It’s about intention, balance, and creating space for what actually adds value to your life.

OUR PROCESS

At Less is Luxe, every transformation begins with intention. Our simple yet powerful process is designed to create clarity in your space and calm in your life. We start by decluttering what no longer serves you, then organize your belongings into thoughtful, functional systems tailored to your lifestyle. Finally, we label and contain everything with purpose and elegance — ensuring your home stays effortlessly organized long after we leave.

Declutter

We’ll start by sorting everything into three categories: Keep, donate and discard. This helps clear out the unnecessary and make room food what truly matters.

Organize

Once we’ve narrowed things down, we’ll create a functional system tailored to your lifestyle. Our goal is to design a layout and flow that works best for you and your space.

Label & Contain

Finally, we’ll select the most practical and visually appealing containers for your items and label them as needed to keep your space neat and easy to maintain.

What Our Client Says

Testimonials

"My side of the closet was a legit portrait, perfectly capturing the ADHD brain of a 40 year old plus woman, deep in the throws of perimenopause. Maybe I’m being dramatic, but my side of the closet looked even worse than it was compared to my husband’s side which basically looks like the window display of a luxury store. Hiring Less is Luxe was easily one of the best decisions I ever made. Karina quickly formulated a plan on how to organize my side of the closet and makes sense of the chaos I had created. She helped me get realistic about the things I should get rid of and made my side of the closet look equally as appealing as my neat freak husband’s side. It has been so easy and effortless to keep things the way Karina organized them. I couldn’t be happier and my husband is the happiest he has ever been. If you are overwhelmed by your messiness…hire Less is Luxe. You’ll be so happy you did and will probably be inspired to continue the organization throughout your home."

"I had just moved three weeks earlier, and the level of disorganization was giving me anxiety. Some of it had built up over multiple moves without me ever finding the energy or motivation to deal with it. Karina really made me feel comfortable right away and was flexible with my preferences, including aesthetics, how much I wanted to declutter, and how involved I wanted to be. She got right to work sorting items into piles for me to review, since I wanted to declutter a large amount of old paperwork. In the process, she found my passport and my son’s birth certificate, which was a huge relief and made me feel confident everything important was finally safe and properly filed. Before she came, I sent her photos of the focus areas and she gave great suggestions on organizing materials, while also offering to provide containers if preferred. In one day, we worked through multiple areas including a linen closet, a nursery walk-in closet, many boxes of paperwork, part of the kitchen, and a couple of boxes of electronics. The entire experience was much more pleasant than I expected, working alongside her helped me stay focused and stricter to get rid of things. "

"I am so incredibly satisfied with the organization help I received from Karina with Less is Lux. I had four kitchen drawers that overtime had eventually turned into my “junk drawers“ along with several cabinets. That area was such a disaster and now it’s a space I enjoy using! It has been easy to follow her designs as I begin to use my new organized, kitchen cabinets and drawers! Karina was professional, nonjudgmental, and had brilliant ideas for storage solutions that I would never have thought of myself. The process was seamless and stress-free. I highly recommend her service to anyone needing a fresh start and a functional Beautiful space."
